Financial Controller job for a manufacturing business in East Kilbride

Your new company Our client, a manufacturing business based in East Kilbride, has an opportunity for a Financial Controller.

Your new role Reporting to the Managing Director, you will play a key role as part of the site management team.

Your responsibilities will be varied and will include:

Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the finance department, managing and developing a small team of staff. All aspects of financial management related to the site ensuring robust financial control. Prepare and publish monthly management accounts to group deadlines. Provide analysis on overhead/costing/sales/margin performance and using this to instigate improvement activities. Budgeting and forecasting. Ensure that the Company's internal controls are suitable, effective, and operational. Work closely with the senior management team to provide analysis and financial advice in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions and contract negotiations. Ensure that the Company's cost tables for pricing, stock valuation, and customer profitability are up to date and relevant. Liaise with a range of external stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers and auditors on financial related matters. Providing meaningful analysis and insight to support strategic objectives.

What you'll need to succeed You will be a professionally qualified Accountant with previous manufacturing sector experience. Inventory management and stock accounting experience. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse and provide meaningful MI to support decision-making. Previous staff management experience.
