Introduction to Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to oversee the UK operations. This business is relatively immature, having operated for approximately 7 years. It now has 78 locations around the UK and revenues of approximately £100m. Having invested and expanded rapidly in recent years, the focus is now on profitability and delivering the business plan, including securing franchisees for the brand.

At a high level, the candidate will be responsible for delivering monthly management accounts, the annual statutory audit, VAT returns, team management, and ensuring professional and robust financial processes and controls.

We are seeking an individual with an eye for detail and a self-starter who can hit the ground running.

Experience Required: Qualified Chartered Accountant with either ACA or ACCA qualification 5+ years previous experience as a financial controller Ideally in a consumer-facing multi-site retail environment

Key Responsibilities: Team:

To ensure the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and management accounts team are adequately skilled and fully resourced. To lead and develop the team and to monitor individual performance ensuring all duties are being carried out diligently. Control Environment:

To operate a strong financial control environment, designing or strengthening where necessary. To cover all areas, including but not limited to: payments, system reconciliations, assets, and daily bank reconciliations. Management Accounts:

Maintain accurate accounting records and financial accounts, including journal postings, accruals & prepayments, bank reconciliation, debtors and creditors control accounts.
