RECfinancial is partnering with a Leicestershire based SME manufacturing business in their search to appoint a Financial Controller. The role is based at the firm's head office, which is commutable from all areas of Leicester / Leicestershire, South Nottingham, Rugby, Corby, and Coventry / Warwickshire.
Reporting to a part-time Finance Director and the Managing Director, the Financial Controller will have the responsibility of the day-to-day running of the finance team and supporting the leadership team in the day-to-day running of the business. Responsibilities will include:
Production of monthly and annual accounting
VAT returns
Leading the budget/forecasting process
Cashflow forecasting
Leading and coaching a team of 5
Supporting the business with any analysis requests to improve decision-making
The business is keen to hire a candidate who is likely to be in a Finance Manager or Financial Controller type role and who aspires to be a Finance Director in the future. You will be looking for a role that includes managing a team, supporting an MD, being seen in the business, and has the opportunity to add value to the business. The business has zero debt and is cash positive, with a structured growth plan to increase turnover by 20% over the next few years.
To be considered for this role, you will need to be qualified in either the ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualification. The role offers a salary of between £55,000 and £65,000 plus benefits.
