JSS are delighted to be partnering a successful growing business based in Hertfordshire. We are recruiting a new Financial Controller position. The Financial Controller role will be focused on managing the balance sheet and financial controls for one company and several subsidiaries. This is an ideal role for an audit trained ACA or ACCA qualified Finance Manager/Group Finance Manager or Controller. The Role: Managing the delivery of month end and entity reporting across the companies ensuring all group deadlines are met. Working with the wider finance team to ensure that timely (monthly/quarterly) balance sheet reconciliations are undertaken for all subsidiary companies. Ensure accurate financials and risks & opportunities monitored. Developing and mentoring a team of two part qualified management accountants. Approving journals from the team and managing all intercompany recharges and ensure intercompany balances are reconciled and agreed in a timely manner. Manage the delivery of the annual audits across companies including offering advice on technical matters. Ensure all audit deliverables and queries for the subsidiaries are provided and resolved in a timely manner. Resolving/improving of processes and procedures based on any audit findings raised. Ensure finance best practice across the companies/subsidiaries. Support and analysis as requested by the business areas you work with. Ad-hoc project work as and when requested. Profile: We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager or Controller, with the following experience and skillset: Audit trained - ACA or ACCA qualified. Experience working in a group or divisional role or large company accounting role. Experience of balance sheet and controls in a large business. Good understanding of IFRS. Experience of senior stakeholder engagement and communication. Experienced in improving processes, procedures & controls. On Offer: A salary/package of circa £90,000-£110,000, plus bonus, hybrid working, benefits package and the opportunity to work in a successful growing large business. Seniority Level
