The Role Joining as a Financial Controller, you will be at the heart of financial operations, bringing your expertise as a management accountant to provide strategic insights, ensure robust financial controls, and enhance commercial decision-making. This position is within an 'owner business', and you will want to bring fresh ideas to a broader portfolio that includes properties and diversified business interests. You will also oversee international trade activities, having experience of multi-currency trade while working closely with cross-functional teams to optimise profitability and efficiency in a global context. Key Responsibilities Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Develop and maintain robust financial controls and processes. Deliver insightful management reports to support strategic decision-making. Analyse financial performance and identify opportunities for growth and cost optimization. Manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to drive commercial success. Oversee international trade operations, including currency risk management, trade compliance, and global cash flow. Collaborate with commercial teams to evaluate pricing strategies, market opportunities, and contract negotiations. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and policies across multiple jurisdictions. About You A professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent). Proven experience as a management accountant, ideally in a commercially focused role. Strong knowledge of international trade, including logistics, customs, and currency management. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset. Excellent communication and leadership abilities to influence stakeholders and drive initiatives.
