The Role As Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial accounting and reporting for the business, while driving efficiency and maintaining robust financial controls. Key Responsibilities: Lead the month-end close process, including reconciliations, ledger reviews, and intercompany balance checks. Collaborate with Commercial Finance and Claims teams to ensure financial reporting and forecasting reflect the latest performance and commercial terms. Oversee and coach a team member, ensuring all key deliverables are met and their development is supported. Take ownership of the external audit process, ensuring timely statutory accounts filing and compliance with regulatory and tax requirements. Drive efficiencies across the Finance team, contributing to ongoing improvement projects and enhanced processes. Work with senior leadership to ensure that finance risk registers and controls are up-to-date and effectively monitored. Coordinate quarterly risk reporting, consolidating and reviewing data to meet deadlines. What We're Looking For: ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, ideally with a practice background. At least 2-3 years PQE in audit, financial reporting, financial control, or similar roles in a complex organisation. Expertise in accounting standards and regulatory reporting, with experience working with ERP systems. Proven leadership skills, including team management and stakeholder engagement at all levels. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. A proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to drive efficiencies and enhance processes. Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders. Why This Role?
