Role - Financial Controller

Location - Botcherby, Wantage or Peterborough

Contract Type - Permanent

Working Pattern - Office based

Salary - £40,000 - 45,000 + 15% bonus

This role will include commercial controller responsibility, together with support to the UK commercial team under the Swiss Principal Business model. The role reports to the Finance Manager UK.

Responsibilities

To guarantee the accuracy of sales and Cost Of Good Sold (COGS) data for Commercial Reporting To liaise with the Commercial Team on sales prices, contracts, rebate accruals and LME/MP reconciliations. To liaise with the Shared Service Centre department to ensure credit limits are respected and payments and overdue are properly followed up To ensure Packaging held at customer's is reconciled monthly and any identified losses are recovered To finalise monthly reports, Budgets and Forecasts for the Commercial Entity What we need from you

Business Graduate with a specialisation in Accounting/Finance Control. Previous experience (preferably) acquired in a manufacturing environment. Data-driven and is aware of variable, fixed costs and margin analysis. Previous experience in preparing budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances against forecasts and report writing for management. Ability to communicate at all levels, with good presentation skills. Commercial awareness, with attention to detail, a logical approach with effective decision-making/problem-solving skills. Effective team player, able to work under pressure to tight deadlines, with a continuous improvement mind-set. IT literate, with advanced Microsoft Excel (macros) skills and a good working experience of SAP integrated software. Fluent in English - both verbal and written, another European language a plus.
