£55,000 to £65,000, depending on experience.

Our client, an impressive multi-entity group, is currently experiencing an exciting period of growth and is looking for a talented Financial Controller to join their team in Potters Bar.

About the Role: As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of our client's diverse portfolio of entities. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, implementing robust internal controls, and providing strategic insights to drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the financial accounting function, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities. Monitor cash flow, budget variances, and financial performance to support decision-making. Collaborate with department heads to develop and track departmental budgets and forecasts. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards. Oversee external audits and tax filings, liaising with auditors and tax advisors as necessary. Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

About You: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ACA or ACCA qualification preferred. Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, preferably within a multi-entity environment. Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to provide strategic insights. Proficiency in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
