My client, an extremely high growth, PE backed SME in the Preston area, is looking to appoint an ambitious and driven Financial Controller on a full-time, permanent basis.
Having recently received investment, the business is set to continue its growth plans through the delivery of a buy & build M&A strategy.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a can-do attitude, a passion for adding value and "going the extra mile" as part of the SLT, challenging where necessary, and working to drive forward ongoing transformation and improvement across the organisation.
There is significant scope to put your own stamp on any established procedures and reporting. Guided by an experienced PE CFO, the development opportunities are significant. This role is one not to be missed! Key Responsibilities:
ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Manufacturing, engineering or construction experience would be of preference. Team management experience is a must. A commercially astute, technically strong accountant with the drive and ambition to operate at both strategic and operational levels with the support from the CFO. A willingness to roll their sleeves up and undertake day-to-day finance activities. A genuine desire to actively contribute new ideas and initiatives across the business. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact appropriately with individuals at every level of the business and successfully manage external relationships. High energy, passion and drive to succeed. Excellent Excel skills. Results-focused, a can-do attitude and the ability to constructively challenge ideas.
