Financial Controller / Senior Management Accountant Huddersfield £50,000 - £60,000 The Opportunity Exceptional opportunity - number 2 to the FD in a business that has experienced almost 100% revenue growth this year and is expected to transition from £20m to £50m+ in the next 2-3 years. Massive scope to progress and develop swiftly in an internationally operating business that is delivering eye-watering revenue growth and will continue to invest in exciting European and UK expansion. Super varied, hands-on role that will position someone for their first Head of Finance / FD role in the next 3 - 5 years (which can happen internally - you will become subsidiary FD or the FD will step to Group CFO and you will step up in his slipstream). The remit will widen as your understanding of the business develops and you will enjoy being responsible for: Full management accounts preparation and month end close Balance sheet integrity Flash reporting Variance analysis & commentary Supporting budgeting and forecasting Business partnering Group reporting Enhancing financial controls Supporting cashflow forecasting & cash management Commercial analysis and MI production Loads to get stuck into under the wing of an approachable FD. You'll also be involved in exciting projects downstream which will include M&A activity, an ERP implementation/integration, and both UK and European expansion programmes - highly rewarding and valuable experience for anyone looking to make the ultimate step to FD level. Relaxed, professional and collaborative working environment. £50,000 - £60,000 level (depending on experience). Ideally, someone qualified or finalist from West Yorkshire. Easily commutable from Huddersfield, Barnsley, Wakefield, Holmfirth regions. (You will either have a degree in accounting and finance or have completed AAT prior to CIMA / ACCA / ACA). Excellent core accounting and analytical skills. Confidence using Excel to slice and dice data and produce insightful summaries / commentary / MI for the non-finance leaders / directors. Drive and ambition. Collaborative communication skills. Appetite to progress to Head of Finance / FD level down the line.
