Your new role: Providing support to the Financial Control & Governance - Senior Manager in the preparation of statutory accounts and interim accounts. Prepare statutory accounts for all Group subsidiary companies and entities outside of Group as required. Undertaking IFRS 9 classification assessments for all financial assets and liabilities for reporting and disclosure purposes, supported by documented evidence. Providing support to the Financial Control & Governance - Senior Manager in ensuring that the Group's accounting policies are fully documented and updated for any new policies or changes to existing policies. Undertaking review and reconciliation of IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss outputs and ensuring that appropriate and compliant disclosures are made in the statutory accounts. Undertaking calculation and reconciliation of Enterprise Capital Fund portfolio model outputs and ensuring that appropriate and compliant disclosures are made in the statutory accounts. Identification and delivery of change to strengthen controls; encourage a culture of continuous improvement. Provide cover for various maintenance and reporting functions within the FC&G team as needed. Providing support to the Financial Control & Governance - Senior Manager in managing the audit of the Group and its subsidiaries. Providing support to the Financial Control & Governance - Senior Manager in managing the tax matters of the Group and its subsidiaries.
Essential:
Strong technical accounting background. Professional accounting qualifications (ACA/ACCA). Current understanding of IFRS. Experience in the production of consolidated financial statements. Experience in a banking finance function. Experience of IFRS 9 accounting including Expected Credit Losses and Investment Classifications.
