THE ROLE: The Financial Controller will take control of the financial accounting and reporting process for the site, provide strategic information and insights to the management team to support effective decision making and oversee/monitor an effective compliance and control environment. Key responsibilities include: Leading strategic projects Ensuring the integrity of financial reporting Managing product costings in collaboration with the commercial team Taking ownership of site overheads Managing budgets and delivering timely closure for financial period end Driving the implementation of global accounting policies Overseeing treasury and cash management Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Conducting periodic forecasting and planning activities Managing relationships with auditors Managing and supporting a small finance team Liaising effectively with colleagues outside the UK A full and detailed job description is available.

THE CANDIDATE: You are a fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA Financial Controller with previous experience in the manufacturing sector and managing a small team. An effective communicator at all levels, you have a collaborative work and leadership style enabling a consultative decision-making process to provide swift results. Experience of ERP systems implementation and integration would be a big plus.

THE COMPANY: Our client operates in the manufacturing sector and has sites both in the UK and Europe. The Hull site has good road links to all areas of the city including the A63 and onwards to the Humber Bridge, eastern M62, Beverley and the surrounding villages.
