Position Financial Controller

Location Within 5 miles of WD19 5BE

Salary £50,000 - £65,000 per annum

Hours Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm (full-time, office-based)

Overview I am currently supporting a well-established and growing organisation in their search for an experienced Financial Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to take ownership of the finance function for a group of three businesses, with a combined revenue of £18 million.

The Role:

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Leadership & Team Management:

Oversee and mentor the finance team, ensuring strong performance and collaboration. Cash Flow & Credit Control:

Manage financial transactions across the businesses, authorising payments, and liaising with suppliers. Management Accounts & Reporting:

Ensure accurate financial reporting, oversee cost centre allocations, and provide insights to senior leadership. Audits & Compliance:

Work alongside the CFO on year-end audits and regulatory requirements. HMRC & Tax Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit VAT and CIS returns, ensuring all tax obligations are met. Payroll & Supplier Payments:

Oversee payroll processes and manage supplier relationships.

What We're Looking For: Qualified Accountant:

ACCA or CIMA qualification is essential. Proven Leadership Skills:

Previous experience managing a finance team. Hands-On & Proactive:

A self-starter who takes full ownership of the finance function. Strong Communicator:

Confident in liaising with senior stakeholders and external partners. Calm & Level-Headed:

Thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a solutions-focused approach.
