Global Accounting Network are currently partnering with a market leading, listed business. Off the back of a recent acquisition, they are now looking to hire a Financial Controller into a newly created role, to look after the newly acquired company.
Due to the company integrating into a large, listed group, there will be a strong need for tighter controls alongside performing their first ever audit at the end of this financial year. Aside from owning the whole accounting function, you will be managing a small team.
Skills/experience required:
Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA Hands on experience with management accounts, taxation and statutory accounts preparation. Experience managing at least x1 direct report previously Experience with FP&A is an added bonus, although not essential You will be tenacious and comfortable with ambiguity - this will be a very autonomous role with not much prior process in place
Main responsibilities:
Ownership of the monthly and quarterly accounts processes (management accounts, taxation, etc.) Preparation of financial statements alongside leading on the annual audit Proactively partner with the business around their strategic financial objectives including owning the budget and forecasting process Management and development of a small team.
