A leading, privately owned SME Group has approached Venture Recruitment Partners to support them in the recruitment of a Financial Controller on an exclusive basis. Reporting to a recently appointed CFO, the role has been newly created as a result of recent and planned business growth, both organically and via acquisition.
Financial Controller Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring efficient cash flow management. Prepare detailed financial analysis, reports, and presentations for senior leadership. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets. Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering professional development. Financial Controller Required
Full qualification ACA, ACCA or CIMA is essential. Comprehensive technical accounting experience gained either within practice or industry, with IFRS working knowledge desirable. Approachable and strong interpersonally. A proven track record in people management or the appetite to pick up those responsibilities. Financial Controller Benefits
