About the Role As one of our two Financial Directors you will serve as a key strategic partner to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the senior management team. Your responsibilities will encompass financial leadership, strategy development, financial reporting, budgeting, and team management. You will play a crucial role in shaping the company's financial direction, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and driving growth initiatives. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to make a significant impact on our organisation's continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership:

Lead the development and implementation of the company's financial strategy, ensuring alignment with overall organisational goals.

Oversee financial risk management and mitigation strategies.

Financial Reporting:

Direct the preparation, analysis, and presentation of timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

Interpret financial data and provide actionable insights to senior management.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Lead the annual budgeting and planning process, collaborating with department heads to create comprehensive budgets.

Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.

Develop and maintain rolling financial forecasts.

Cash Flow Management:

Manage and optimise cash flow to support daily operations, capital investments, and growth initiatives.

Implement effective cash management strategies to maintain liquidity and minimise financial risks.

Financial Analysis and Strategy:

Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including cost-benefit analysis, financial modelling, and scenario planning, to support strategic decision-making.

Identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiency.

Assess the financial impact of potential business ventures and investments.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional development.

Provide guidance and coaching to team members to support their growth and success.

External Relationships:

Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other financial partners.

Collaborate with external stakeholders, including investors and regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance and reporting obligations are met.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA qualification preferred.

Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role within a complex organisation.

Strong financial acumen, including expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.

In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.

Strategic thinking and a results-oriented mindset.
