Supporting management planning and decision making by identifying, maintaining, and evaluating information and recommending actions. The successful candidate will work closely with the CFO to ensure efficiency and provide value to the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business in an innovative industry. Key Tasks A wide range of duties that may include, but are not limited to: Financial Planning Develop business planning process, prepare reports and analyse all chief metrics for all financial plans. Prepare yearly budgeting, monthly forecasts and coordinate with senior management. Preparing business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions. Creating, updating, and maintaining financial models and detailed forecasts of the company's future operations and provide commercial guidance to the wider function. Develop the budget process - provide commercial insight to both the budgeting process and strategic planning within the business. Generating financial forecasts to assist in strategic planning. Financial Analysis Analysing financial and operational results to better understand company performance. Reviewing existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement efforts. Gauging the company's overall financial health, primarily by using key financial ratios, determining which of the company's products or product lines generate the largest portion of its net profit etc. Comparing historical results against budgets and forecasts, and performing variance analysis to explain differences in performance and make improvements going forward. Managing Relationships Coordinate with accounting staff and interact with senior management to prepare data for reforecasting. Coordinate with business units and managers and make recommendations to enhance financial performance Perform ad hoc analysis and coordinate with teams and implement processes and controls Coordinate with management and monitor progress of projects. Working closely with the leadership team to formulate the business's medium to long term financial and strategic plan. Active involvement in ERP implementation steering group. Work very closely with the CFO to drive interaction with the wider business. Working with individual departments to prepare budgets and consolidate them into one overall corporate budget. Other Financial Duties Supervise budget development process and prepare detail business plans. Evaluating previous budgets, expenditures to develop and implement future budgets. Assist in the implementation of ERP system where required. Preparing internal reports for executive leadership and supporting their decision making. Assist in ad hoc project and investment appraisal and play pivotal role as finance lead in the exploration of investment opportunities. General Undertake all duties in line with General Data Protection and maintain utmost level of confidentiality. Ensure work is completed to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard. Ensure that you treat those with whom they come into contact in a courteous and respectful manner in accordance with the Dignity at Work Procedure.
