Are you looking to kick-start your career?

Join the region’s leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants on our Financial Planning Graduate Scheme, working with friendly and supportive colleagues on a range of interesting and varied client assignments.

We’re recruiting now for our April 2025 intakes across various offices.

Why BHP Financial Planning?

BHP Financial Planning is the financial planning arm of BHP, Chartered Accountants, one of the North of England’s largest professional firms with a 150-year track record.

At its heart, our financial planning service is not about money. It’s about helping our clients find the way to the best life they can possibly lead, now and in the future. We provide a range of personalised, friendly financial planning services backed up by the resources of a fully integrated accountancy firm.

We understand the art of financial planning. What the route is will be different for every person, so the advice we give is entirely individual and personal, focusing on what is important to the client. That means knowing who our clients really are and understanding something about their dreams, hopes and goals. Only then can you put together a financial plan that will allow them to live the life they want, without worrying about running out of the resources needed to live it.

We use widely accepted statistical formulas to predict future cashflows, including estimates of asset growth and likely withdrawal plans. With this information to hand, we can determine what needs to be done to ensure our clients’ future financial goals are met.

Working in conjunction with BHP’s own investment and tax experts and best-in-class asset allocation processes, we will devise a plan of action that will meet a client’s specific needs.

If you’re looking for practical hands-on Financial Planning experience whilst gaining professional qualifications (CII Level 4, followed by CII Level 6), click here to find out more about our Graduate Scheme and submit your application.

Not studying finance or accountancy? No problem! If you have a genuine enthusiasm for high-quality service, a great work ethic, and either possess, or are on track to attain, a 2:2 or above, we’d still love to receive your application.

We’ll continue to accept and process Graduate Scheme applications on a rolling basis until all vacancies have been filled. We therefore recommend submitting your application as soon as possible to ensure you don’t miss out on your preferred position/location.

Please note that BHP is not currently a Home Office licensed sponsor. All applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have and will continue to have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the programme without sponsorship.

If you have any questions about our 2025 Graduate Scheme, please feel free to contact our friendly Recruitment team at Recruit@bhp.co.uk
