An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is a finalist or fully qualified accountant to join our finance team. You will be supporting the financial planning and reporting process for the Integrated Care Board (ICB). Your financial and analytical skills will be utilised to provide informed data to various stakeholders within the system and NHS England. Main duties of the job

Support the Head of Financial Planning and Deputy CFO in managing the monthly and annual planning and reporting process for the ICB and ICS. Build strong relationships with wider system finance colleagues and NHSE England partners. Provide analytical information to stakeholders to help inform the financial position. Support the planning process detailing how circa £1.4 billion funding is allocated across the system. About us

The post holder will be accountable to the Head of Financial Planning and Reporting for the successful delivery of a number of work areas to include: Support in the management of the monthly reporting process by ensuring that all reporting of the financial position of the ICB and system occurs in a timely manner and is supported with high-quality information analysis. Responsible for co-ordination of commentaries and production of relevant appendices that support the monthly finance papers produced for the Board to ensure informed decision making on service delivery. Experience

Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area. Further training or significant experience in financial management or supporting change management processes. CCAB qualified accountant/ passed finalist. Experience in communications and stakeholder management. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite. Experience and understanding of evaluating and measuring the performance of health services. Comprehensive knowledge of project management and/or financial information systems development. Workforce development knowledge and experience. A good understanding of the health and social care environment and roles and responsibilities within it. Communication Skills

Clear communicator with excellent writing, report writing and presentation skills; capable of constructing and delivering clear ideas and concepts concisely and accurately for diverse audiences. Evidence of success in efficient and effective financial management of projects and programmes. Skills for communication on complex matters and difficult situations, requiring persuasion and influence. Skills for nurturing key relationships and maintaining networks. Analytical

Ability to analyse and interpret information, pre-empt and evaluate issues, and recommend an appropriate course of action to address the issues. Problem-solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands. Attention to detail combined with the ability to extract key messages from complex analysis.
