We are seeking a

Study Start-Up Project Manager

to join our team. In this role, you will work 100% dedicated to a leading global pharmaceutical company, playing a critical part in the successful initiation of clinical trials within the UK. Your primary focus will be on

budget and finance tasks , including contracts and budgeting, with significant influence on meeting country-specific trial commitments and objectives during the start-up phase.

Key Responsibilities

Lead budget and contract negotiations with a deep understanding of the local regulatory environment and its implications for study start-up activities. Address and resolve issues by indirectly influencing investigators, vendors, external partners, and country managers with minimal support. Independently make decisions with limited oversight while proactively developing risk management and mitigation strategies for the country. Ensure compliance with local regulations, quality standards, and protocol milestones during the start-up phase.

Qualifications and Core Competencies

Proven expertise in

budget and contract negotiations

within a clinical trial setting. Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks. Experience in managing common challenges such as: Quality and compliance concerns Legal issues Deliverable-specific risks impacting protocol timelines Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and mentor stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a

remote, virtual environment

while managing multiple deliverables and protocols simultaneously.

Behavioral Expectations

Highly organized, with strong coordination skills to manage complex tasks and priorities. Ability to analyze root causes of issues and propose practical solutions, including escalating to management when needed. Proficient in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Collaborative mindset and leadership capabilities to influence diverse teams across various functions.
