Finger Spelling Care Assistant required for a gentleman P/T @ £12.50/hr - Stockton-on-Tees - TS17
Job Description
My client has Congenital Sensory Neural deafness - he communicates through finger spelling on to his hands. He also has Congenital Optic Atrophy, which means he has very little sight and may only see light/dark shadows, as well as Mitochondrial disease. He is looking for somebody to support him for 12 hours per week to ensure safety, meet his nutritional needs, provide social interaction, and assist with all activities of daily living. The hours would be split into two six-hour days on a Saturday & Sunday, starting at 8:30 am - 2:30 pm. Successful candidates would be subject to an enhanced DBS check, with the cost to be met by the employer.
