THE ROLE

As a Financial Planning & Control (FP&C) Analyst within Fintech Operations, reporting to the FP&C Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, enhancing reconciliation processes, and driving cost efficiency. By leveraging your strong analytical mindset and expertise in financial planning, you will identify and implement strategies to optimise costs, improve financial controls and support the organisation's profitability objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO Analyze and manage large-scale payment reconciliation workflows, addressing inefficiencies while ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with internal controls. Optimize payment and fraud costs by analyzing expenses, identifying savings opportunities and supporting provider negotiations. Build, maintain and enhance financial models to forecast and control the financial impact of payment and fraud projects. Develop and automate dashboards and reports to monitor key metrics (e.g., cost per transaction, reconciliation accuracy, settlement timelines) and introduce new metrics to improve decision-making confidence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial workflows, streamline processes, and oversee month-end close activities in alignment with organizational goals. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership on reconciliation and cost optimization strategies. Support budgeting processes by preparing forecasts, consolidating inputs and analyzing variances for accurate financial planning. Facilitate audits by delivering precise documentation and addressing audit queries promptly. WHO YOU ARE Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in financial planning and/or business analytics, preferably in fintech, e-commerce, or payments. Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, with advanced functions and financial modelling capabilities. Knowledge of SQL for managing and analyzing financial datasets (e.g., SQL Server, BigQuery). Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau. Skilled in forecast analysis and business casing to drive strategic decision-making. Familiarity with payment processes, reconciliation workflows, and financial reporting is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Proactive, organized and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
