Description

Due to continued growth, VSL Vanguard is looking to employ 1 apprentice. The successful individual will have the opportunity to work for an established employer and become a multi-disciplined Fire and Security engineer.

VSL Vanguard provides a totally integrated site and project security service, with a range of solutions all covered by a bespoke service level agreement with all clients.

At VSL, they provide a variety of intruder alarm systems to specifically suit your organisational or personal needs. With their intruder alarms, they ensure safety and security from unauthorised entry to your site. VSL provides a range of fast-acting fire alarm systems to suit your needs and requirements. Their engineers are fully trained in the installation and maintenance of fire systems and are aware of the essential protocol needed when an alarm is activated.

You will be installing and maintaining:

CCTV systems Intruder alarms Access systems Fire alarms Entry Requirements

18 + Able to pass an enhanced DBS and security checks Prepared to travel to SFS centre for apprenticeship block training one week every eight weeks Ideally hold a full driving licence Have GCSE Maths and English grade 4/C or above Willingness to work away and odd weekend work if required Training to be Provided

Fire Emergency Security Systems Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.

Skills for Security will deliver the apprenticeship training in block release at the centre. You will attend the centre one week every eight weeks.

You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre and gather any site evidence needed to supplement your studies.

You will be required to complete an annual assessment at the training centre and participate in any additional training courses that the company requires you to complete.

On Site Training: You will shadow and be mentored by a full-time engineer and develop proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining fire and security systems.

The apprenticeship is 36 months - full commitment is required throughout the duration of your studies.
