Based outside of Norwich, we primarily service customers across Norfolk and East Anglia, along with some others across the UK. We offer a wide range of services including design, maintenance and installation of intruder systems, fire alarm systems, CCTV, and access control. We are looking for a proactive and confident engineer who pays attention to the details, will make customer satisfaction a priority and is able to manage their own workload with minimal supervision. Potential candidates must have at least 2 years’ experience within the industry with knowledge and experience of the installation and maintenance of Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control systems. In-house and external training, along with development opportunities, can be provided for those keen to progress. Key job responsibilities Installation of intruder, fire, CCTV, and access control systems to a high standard Corrective and preventative maintenance of intruder alarm systems, fire alarm systems, CCTV, emergency lighting and access control Work within project time constraints, identifying and communicating without delay any potential risks to the project delivery dates System fault finding Out of hours call rota for emergency calls and telephone support Adhere to company policy and best practice, with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information Ensure timesheets and all other relevant documentation is completed accurately and on time Occasional travel and overnight stays outside of East Anglia for larger jobs Requirements for the job A proven background and experience of working within the electronic security industry is required (experience working with Texecom and Hikvision beneficial) Strong technical knowledge with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing technology Able to proactively fault find and fix without internal/management support Strong electrical aptitude Competent in installation, servicing and maintenance Good IT skills, Network/IP based product experience Experience of conventional and addressable fire systems Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of various intruder panels (Texecom beneficial) Level 3 Electrical installation and FIA qualifications beneficial Excellent customer service skills Good organisation and time keeping skills Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team Comfortable working at heights Full clean UK driving license Please note BS7858 screening will need to be completed by the successful candidate prior to beginning the role.
