A driven Fire Damper Inspection Engineer is needed to join our team at Nationwide Fire Damper Inspections, a leading specialist in fire damper surveys, inspections, and testing to cover the Coalville/Loughborough area on a full-time basis. NFDI operates a national team of engineers to inspect and test fire dampers in buildings of all types, predominantly in the hospitality and healthcare sectors. The dampers are tested to BS9999 and Fire Standard Scotland (2003). The position will require working as part of a small team that travels to various sites to inspect and report on the condition of the property's fire dampers. The equipment to be tested forms a vital piece of the building's fire strategy and must be inspected annually. Reporting to the Ops Manager, the team diary is managed by him and our service coordinator and transmitted to the engineers on an electronic platform each week. Due to the location of our customers' sites, it is not uncommon for overnight stays to be required, so a degree of flexibility is needed. Full NVQ-level training on inspecting the damper and surrounding areas will be provided, as it will be for the software we use to compile our reports. All necessary tools and PPE will be provided, as well as a mobile phone for business purposes only. Required Experience:

Candidates with experience in HVAC or ductwork systems are desirable, but any mechanical background will be considered. We value our staff's contributions and know we can rely on them to perform an excellent job with very little direct supervision; this is crucial as the majority of work will be conducted in teams of 2. A DBS check will be mandatory. A clean driving licence is required. Benefits:
