Our client is looking for a Fire Engineer to join their independent Consultancy specialising in Fire Safety and Engineering Services. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a wide range of sectors including commercial, industrial, nuclear, and many more.

Fire Engineer Requirements:

Degree in Engineering (Fire, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or similar) Experience of providing fire safety advice in the nuclear sector and in a conventional environment Experience of implementing the principle of fire science to real projects Experience of management of fire safety on construction sites Full UK Driving License Computer Literate E.g. Blue Beam, Microsoft, CAD, Smoke modelling software Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Ability to travel within UK and Overseas Knowledge of legislation, regulations, national and international standards Knowledge of Fire Water Network and Fire water pumping systems including fire water pumps, storage tanks etc. NEBOSH Fire Certificate (Desirable)

Fire Engineer Duties:

Develop fire strategies and performance-based designs, supported by fire and evacuation modelling, risk analysis and cost benefit analysis Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders Produce fire safety engineering reports Review design information such as drawings and documents Ensure work is compliant with client expectations and contractual obligations Resolve fire engineering concerns by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards Support junior members of staff
