Working with a global leader in engineering, project and programme management within the nuclear industry, NRL are looking to recruit a Fire Safety Manager. The role is flexible and can be based in Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater.

About the role: As the Fire Safety Manager, you will be responsible for the Hinkley Point C construction project, ensuring that it remains fully compliant with all UK fire legislation, EDF/HPC requirements, and nuclear site licence conditions. Reporting directly to the Business Resilience Manager, you will be considered the competent person.

You will also be responsible for the development and management of a positive Fire Safety Culture for the HPC Project, including an array of contractors that support the project, reviewing fire assessments, and managing a Fire Safety Assurance programme. You will help build a vision that aims to support positive change and help change the future of nuclear power.

What you will need:

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of Health & Safety & Fire Safety Health, Safety & Fire Safety Qualified via an approved professional body or organisation with a minimum of 2 years’ experience Membership (or working towards) of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) or equivalent organisation Manage the Fire Safety Team, delivering monthly and annual objectives, goals, and KPIs to support and measure the HPC delivery programme
