Initially, the apprentice will work alongside a lead engineer, leading and developing in the field of fire and security. This is a field-based role. Though each day will be different, the role will include the installation, maintenance, and repair of systems. You will be working on: Intruder alarms CCTV Access control Fire alarms Entry Requirements: Maths and English GCSE's at grade 4/C or above No criminal convictions Live in Glasgow/Motherwell area 18+ Full driver's license Training to be Provided: Fire Emergency Security Systems Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard. Skills for Security will deliver the apprenticeship training in block release at the centre. You will attend the centre one week every eight weeks.
You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre and gather any site evidence needed to supplement your studies.
You will be required to complete an annual assessment at the training centre and take part in any additional training courses that the company requires you to complete. On-Site Training: You will shadow and be mentored by a full-time engineer and develop proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining security systems. Things to Consider: This is a 36-month apprenticeship, so full commitment is needed.
