My client is an established provider of security solutions to their customers in the Northwest. They now have an immediate requirement for a Fire & Security Systems Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will live in or close to Liverpool, Southport, Ormskirk, Warrington, Wigan and will travel to customer sites in the Northwest carrying out service, maintenance and repair services to a variety of security and fire systems. Due to the nature of the role, the candidate is required to undertake and pass a DBS and police check.

This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join a small family-run professional security systems company. Although not essential, this could be well suited for a person who has previously served in the Armed Forces i.e., Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force who has an electrical/electronic/IT/telecommunications background.

Fire & Security Systems Engineer Responsibilities:

Attend customer sites in the Northwest carrying out a range of tasks including fault diagnosis, testing and repair of a range of products and systems. Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of equipment as required. Carry out on-call duties on a rota basis and respond promptly to any “call out” from Company customers to ensure guaranteed service commitments. Provide excellent customer service at all times. Promote the reputation of the company and create a first-class impression of the company at all times. Maintain health and safety with regard to the company works and equipment on site. Create sales leads and opportunities to encourage growth of the business. Fire & Security Systems Engineer Requirements:

Must have an understanding of basic electronic/electrical principles. Able to use test equipment, identify and diagnose faults. Good communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work on own initiative. Be flexible in your approach to work - must be available to be part of on-call rota. Hold a full clean driving licence. Fire & Security Systems Engineer Benefits:

Salary up to £38,000 depending on experience. Monday to Friday - 8.30am - 5pm. Callout allowance - £200 per week on call. Commission paid for upselling of products. Full training will be given including gaining industry-recognised qualifications. 23 days holiday plus bank holidays. Company van, PDA/mobile phone, uniform and PPE provided.
