Job Overview Salary from £40k- £55k depending on experience We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fire & Security Service Manager to oversee and enhance our Fire & Security Engineers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing our engineering team, managing a team of fire and security engineers, and ensuring compliance with all SSIAB and BAFE regulations. This role requires a proactive approach to risk management and a strong understanding of fire and security systems and procedures. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures. Conduct regular assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements. Manage the engineering team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations. Oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of fire and security systems including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems. Ensure compliance with legal regulations regarding safety and security measures. Prepare detailed reports and assessments of the team and recommend training programs. Conduct investigations into breaches of procedures and work face to face with client feedback. Create training programmes for our apprenticeship schemes. Manage productivity and create forecasts for additional engineers. Ensure Fire Alarm servicing is delivered on time. Control budgets. Ensure engineers are on site and completing maintenance. Ensure work is completed to BS 5839 and client specifications. Lead a team of 20+ engineers and administrator support to ensure preventative maintenance is completed to protect clients. Skills Proficiency in system design related to fire & security infrastructure. Strong electrical knowledge for managing various systems. Fire Alarm experience (not a technical role, but must know standards). Ability to read and interpret schematics related to electrical systems.
