Our client, a leading company in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer for a critical defence programme. This role will be on a contract basis for an initial period of twelve months, and it requires working on-site for two days per week. This opportunity involves working within a company specialising in antennas.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing and maintaining firmware for defence-related applications Contributing to the design, development, and testing of firmware components Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of firmware with hardware and software systems Providing technical expertise and guidance on firmware development best practices Documenting firmware design and development processes Debugging and resolving firmware-related issues to ensure optimal performance Ensuring compliance with defence industry standards and protocols Supporting the lifecycle management of firmware through upgrades and maintenance

Job Requirements:

Experience in firmware development within the defence industry Strong knowledge of software engineering principles and practices Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in firmware development Understanding of hardware and software integration Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Good communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders

Contract Details:
