The role As a First Line Manager - Mechanical, you’ll manage and lead a team of skilled workers, specifically supervising a team of Mechanical Fitters. This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard. Responsibilities: Following and promoting control of work processes. Ensuring the workplace is safe and meets appropriate health, safety and environment standards. Managing the care and growth of a team with reference to time, performance, behaviours, and quality. Providing technical guidance in relation to your area of expertise. Taking ownership and delivering project objectives to schedule and quality in accordance with Company Processes and Procedures. Essential experience of the First Line Manager - Mechanical: Good understanding of Health and Safety processes associated with production activities. Experience in supervising a team or willingness to learn. Experience of repair/replace/overhaul/maintenance processes. Good leadership qualities and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate a team. Good understanding of all mechanical processes. Qualifications for the First Line Manager - Mechanical: IOSH. Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
