Join our team as a Mechanical Fitter and be at the forefront of shaping our mining operations. We're seeking experienced individuals who prioritise safety, efficiency, and teamwork to ensure all machinery and equipment performs in a safe and effective manner through the diligent execution of maintenance inspections and remedial work derived from such inspections or as operation. If you're passionate about making a significant impact below the surface of the world’s only polyhalite mine, we want to hear from you. About the role: Carry out remedial or preventative work according to priorities agreed and within their scope of competence. Provide effective feedback to team members and Foremen to maximise the effectiveness of engineering input. Offer suggestions for improvements, wherever necessary in terms of equipment safety, performance, tooling, design and working practices. Be an effective team member with the ability to work flexibly to meet the demands of the team. To use knowledge, initiative, and experience to the benefit of the group and to be approachable and forthcoming with ideas. Demonstrate an interest in personal development and to participate effectively in training sessions as and when required. Be self-motivated, disciplined and focussed. Participate in risk assessments and method statements where appropriate. About you: The successful candidate should be: A time served mechanical engineering apprentice or equivalent. Risk Assessment Trained and IOSH Working Safely certified. First aid certified (Desirable but not essential).
