Responsible for overseeing the operations, maintenance, and administration of the cooperative's vehicle fleet, ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are safe, efficient, and in compliance with regulations. This role involves coordinating vehicle acquisitions, creating and managing maintenance schedules, optimizing fleet performance. Additionally, responsible for overseeing the operations, maintenance, and safety of all buildings, grounds, and associated services. The role involves managing building systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), electrical systems, plumbing, and landscaping. The manager will also coordinate building/facility maintenance, renovations, and repairs, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Also responsible for implementing best practices related to fleet and facilities management that support the cooperative's mission of providing reliable and economical power to its members. Working Conditions

General office and sedentary. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer, photocopier, file cabinets and calculator. Manual dexterity, ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, ability to reach, bend, and use 2-step stool while safely lifting and lowering boxes. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays. Essential Functions

Oversee the availability and performance of the cooperative’s vehicle fleet, including trucks, heavy equipment, ATVs, lawn equipment, and service vehicles. Manage vehicle acquisition, disposal, and replacement schedules based on lifecycle cost analysis and operational needs. Create and implement fleet policies and procedures. Collaborate with all departments to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards. Develop and manage the fleet and facilities budgets, including capital and operating expenditures. Establish and manage preventive maintenance programs for all fleet vehicles and equipment. Monitor and manage fuel usage, including strategies for cost reduction and environmental sustainability. Develop and maintain a process for the management of STEC’s pool vehicle. Oversee the day-to-day facilities maintenance of all plant sites, including the maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and groundskeeping. Establish and manage regular inspections, repairs, cleaning, building upgrades, and groundskeeping at all office locations. Responsible for maintaining a preventive maintenance program within the confines of an annual budget. This includes all heating, air conditioning, as well as maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment. Maintain up to date records for all state, federal, and insurance semi-annual and annual inspections. Lead building renovation and expansion projects from planning to completion. Track and report on all fleet and facility-related expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings. Implement cost-effective practices for fuel management, parts procurement, and vehicle utilization. Utilize Enterprise Asset Management module of D365 and associated reporting tools to ensure the cooperative is maintaining accurate records of all fleet and facility maintenance and repair activities. In addition, ensure the cooperative is tracking vehicle usage, fuel consumption, maintenance schedules (fleet and facilities), and maintenance work (fleet and facilities). Generate reports on fleet performance, including uptime, downtime, costs, and compliance metrics. Analyze data to identify trends with vehicle/facility-related issues, optimize fleet/facility operations, and support decision-making. Collaborate with internal departments to align fleet activities with cooperative goals. Manage relationships with external vendors, as needed. Collaborate with the Contracts Coordinator to negotiate contracts and service agreements with external vendors, as needed. Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of the facility. Perform other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned. Job Related Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Logistics, Fleet Management or related field preferred Equivalent experience considered Experience

5 years’ experience in managing teams or projects Experience with fleet management including DOT preferred General understanding of automotive and diesel mechanics. General understanding of HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems. License & Certification
