Job Description Fleet Controller - ( WAR00001277 ) Description Are you an experienced Fleet Controller ready to lead a dynamic team and ensure operational excellence? We are seeking a disciplined and detail-oriented professional to oversee the day-to-day management of our drivers, fleet, and resources. This role is critical in delivering high-quality service, optimising team performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate will be a precise and conscientious professional with a strong focus on rules and accuracy. With a disciplined and structured approach to analytical problem-solving, you will need to be sincere and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management Efficiently plan and roster resources to meet operational demands. Allocate fleet effectively, ensuring the right vehicles are assigned to the right jobs. Monitor and resolve missed pickups, communicate delays to customers promptly. Plan for seasonal variations and forecasting. Ensure daily PUD tasks are understood and executed effectively. Manage driver performance, including run sheets, PDAs, and debriefs. Safety & Compliance Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Conduct safety training and Toolbox meetings to maintain high awareness levels. Oversee compliance with safety policies, including equipment and PPE management. Participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions. Manage incidents and identify patterns for preventive measures. Customer Experience Deliver exceptional service, resolving customer inquiries and complaints efficiently. Foster strong interdepartmental relationships to enhance customer satisfaction. Encourage driver referrals and collaborate with Sales and Account Managers to optimize processes. What You’ll Bring: Experience managing operations within Manufacturing, Transport, Warehousing, or a similar environment. Proven ability to lead and manage teams to meet P&L, budget, and volume targets. Strong time management and decision-making skills, especially under pressure. Analytical mindset with a systematic approach to problem-solving. Solid communication abilities, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Office 365 and general computer literacy.
