We're seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented Fleet & Yard Manager to join our busy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimising our fleet operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Yard Operations Management
Oversee day-to-day operation, including equipment handling, material storage and inventory management. Ensure the depot is organised and complies with safety regulations and operational standards. Manage inventory levels and ensure adequate supplies are available for yard operations. Ensure all fleet vehicles are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations including HVNL. Track all plant & equipment leaving the depot and ensure it is returned on due date. Oversee all fleet management activities, including vehicle maintenance, regulatory compliance, and driver management. Coordinate with external service providers for mechanical and compliance assistance. Implement strategies to increase fuel efficiency and reduce fleet costs. Requirements and Skills
Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field. Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or similar role. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent knowledge of heavy vehicle legislation and compliance. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Ability to make quick decisions in high-stress environments.
