Salary From £50,000 per annum + £1,500 Joining Bonus Fancy leading a team of engineers who maintain and repair a diverse fleet of vehicles, as well as managing plant and buildings?

Joining bonus of £1,500 We’re looking for a Fleet Engineer to join and lead our Kilmarnock Engineering team. You don’t have to be an existing Fleet Engineer, but you’ll need to be able to evidence how you’ve managed teams, irrespective of their size. Working together with our operational teams to ensure excellent service delivery will be second nature. You’ll be leading a dedicated team of engineers who maintain and repair a modern and varied fleet of 82 vehicles. We have already introduced 31 Electric Vehicles into our fleet with an additional 9 being delivered this year. We are looking for someone who is friendly, flexible, reliable and takes pride in their work. You’ll have autonomy over resource management, stock and people, and we’ll give you support, training and development wherever you need to be a brilliant Fleet Engineer. Aside from the satisfaction of being a key worker in your community, there’s a range of benefits including a generous company pension scheme, 28 days annual leave (increasing to 33 after 2 years), free travel for you and a companion, and a range of money-saving opportunities including discounts on holidays and retail. Training – a dedicated high level training programme to reinforce your existing skills and give an opportunity to gain a qualification in another trade. Varied work – it’s not all depot-based work; you could find yourself out and about dealing with vehicle issues on the road. As one of the UK’s leading transport operators, we’re investing heavily in electric vehicles and depot infrastructure. A safe environment – we provide boots, overalls and specialist equipment so you’ll have the right kit for the job. Career development through developing your technical skills on future hybrid and electric vehicles, and career progression to management and directorship – a good number of our Engineering Directors started their career with us as mechanics and fitters. The recruitment process is simple – you apply with your CV, we’ll have a good read then get you in for an interview and give you a tour of the depot. So, if you love working in engineering, have a passion for leading teams, and want to do both with the incredible Stagecoach family in Kilmarnock, we’d love to receive your application! Job Types:
