The role of Transport Supervisor is to oversee and manage the inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and timely movement of goods. This role involves coordinating with carriers, managing a team of shunters and support staff, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The supervisor is responsible for optimising operations, minimising delays, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
**What You Will Be Doing:**
● Ensure the yard is safe and compliant in line with company health and safety standards
● Completing health and safety audits to ensure compliance within the yard
● Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule pickups and deliveries
● Leading a team of Transport Assistants on the shift to ensure that the shift KPIs are met in full and on time
● Plan and allocate resources efficiently to ensure timely loading and unloading of trucks and trailers
● Monitor and track transport schedules, reporting delays as necessary and organising ad hoc collection as required
● Supporting the allocation of resources to ensure timely loading and unloading of trucks and trailers
**Who You Are:**
● Experience within a Transport Supervisor or similar role within a leadership capacity
● Strong prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple demanding stakeholders
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels and external stakeholders
● Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask
● Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS)
● Good understanding of Microsoft and Google suites

**Location:** The Windmill, 1 Holme Lane, Spondon, Derby, DE21 7HW
**Shifts:** Sunday - Wednesday 7 - 7 rotating 3 month days to 3 months nights
