About the role This role combines the strategic, analytical, and operational aspects of fleet management. The role will oversee and optimise BYD’s internal fleet, including demo, press, company cars, and SalSac scheme vehicles. Responsibilities include cost analysis, strategic fleet planning, operational management, and ensuring the fleet remains safe, efficient, and profitable. The role requires collaboration with multiple departments and external vendors to achieve organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Conduct strategic assessments to analyse vehicle costs, usage patterns, and trends, providing actionable insights for fleet optimisation. Oversee the operational management of the fleet, including vehicle maintenance, defect repairs, damage control, and availability planning. Analyse the utilisation and sales impact of demo fleet vehicles, ensuring efficient allocation to sales teams and dealers to maximise ROI. Collaborate with remarketing teams to select vehicles with strong residual values and optimise in-life cycles for internal fleet use. Inspect, register, and manage fleet vehicles, ensuring compliance with regulations and readiness for use, including licence plates, insurance, and fuel/charging passes. Coordinate the handover and return of fleet vehicles, maintaining accurate records of mileage, conditions, and related documentation. Prepare and maintain detailed reports, charts, and tables to communicate fleet performance, costs, and utilisation trends effectively. Develop and maintain relationships with service providers for periodic maintenance, car washes, repairs, and insurance claims. Work with finance and other departments to manage loan values, vehicle contributions, and monthly budgets. Support the delivery, transportation, and demo plans for the fleet, proactively collaborating with project management, logistics, sales, and marketing teams. Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience: Experience with fleet management and operations. Analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Fluent spoken and written English. Valid driving license with good driving skills. Team player with a hands-on mentality. Strong organisational skills to manage varying tasks and prioritise workloads. Highly motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
