We are looking for a Flex Data Analyst to join our energy markets team. This role is paying from £44,199 to £56,113 along with a market leading benefits package. This is a 12 month + fixed term contract.

Here's what you'll be doing

We are looking for a motivated and talented Flex Data Analyst to join our dynamic Energy Markets Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your data expertise and developer skills in a role that offers both challenge and growth.

As a Flex Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analysing and interpreting complex data, providing valuable insights that help shape our strategy and decision-making. You will gain in-depth knowledge of the energy sector and how large customers navigate the ever-changing commodity markets. This role offers a unique chance to collaborate with industry experts, hone your analytical abilities, and make a real impact on our business.

Responsibilities

Working with the Optimisation Desk team to scope and implement new and enhanced methods of using data and modelling. Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data-driven insights, leveraging your coding expertise to develop and maintain analytical tools that support strategic decision-making. Leading on transformation projects, building data resilience and introducing use of Python for our valuable, risk-managed portfolio. Supporting on incoming customer calls, interacting with Forwards traders to provide and transact live market prices with the Flex customer portfolio. Developing knowledge and understanding of European energy markets and relaying this to customers through our market leading customer offering.

What we need from you

Essential Highly numerate with strong attention to detail. Ability to code in Python. Good working knowledge of PowerBI and Excel. Experience of project delivery and/or management.

Desirable Ability to code in VBA. Experience working in fast-paced, operational environment. Knowledge of wholesale energy market. Experience dealing with external customers. Experience of I&C/Flex supply contracts.
