A new opportunity has arisen within the Environmental Promotions Team for a Flood Risk Management Officer.

The District Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and innovative individual to assist in providing a comprehensive, high-quality service for the management and maintenance of watercourses and associated infrastructure assets, helping to manage flood risk and reduce the impacts of flooding on our communities and environment. The role also includes liaising with internal and external stakeholders and clients throughout projects.

The applicant


You will play a key role responsible for managing flood risk across communities in Hart. You should be able to work on your own initiative, to meet objectives with a willingness to broaden your own knowledge, skills and experience.

Provide technical advice and recommendations on planning policies and development proposals with regard to local flood risks in order to meet service standards and to ensure council compliance with statutory, regulatory and professional requirements.

Successful candidates must be keen problem solvers. They should be able to produce creative and pragmatic solutions to resilience challenges. You will be an enthusiastic and ambitious team player with good organisational and presentation skills. You will be IT literate, have good interpersonal and report writing skills, with an overall professionalism.

Interviews are scheduled either face to face on site at the Hart District Council Offices or via Microsoft Teams.
