Fluid Dynamics Engineer / Biomedical Design Engineer Cure Talent is delighted to partner with a rapidly growing MedTech Design House based in Glasgow. This innovative company specialises in the design and development of a wide array of medical devices, partnering with providers to develop revolutionary solutions. We are looking for a highly skilled Fluid Dynamics Engineer or Biomedical Design Engineer to fill a unique role within the organisation. This position requires a versatile problem-solver who thrives on working from first principles, tackling diverse challenges, and contributing to the design and development of innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of fluid dynamics, complemented by a hands-on approach to prototyping and problem-solving. A background in electronics, programming, and mechanical systems will be highly advantageous, along with an ability to bridge the gap between scientific and engineering principles. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate on the design, development, and prototyping of systems and components involving fluid dynamics. Analyse and solve complex engineering problems using first principles and a mix of scientific and engineering expertise. Develop and test electronic prototypes, including working with communication protocols such as SPI and I2C. Contribute to mechanical and structural design challenges, including calculations for stress, fatigue, and thermal systems. Ensure robust, high-quality designs through iterative testing and evaluation. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Proven experience in fluid dynamics, electronics, and/or biomedical design. A strong academic foundation in mathematics, thermofluids, or mechanical engineering. Programming skills with an emphasis on problem-solving and adaptability. Confidence with tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment. A self-taught mindset with a passion for tackling challenges beyond formal education. Experience with medical devices or regulated industries (desirable but not essential).
