Our client is a market leader in their field providing value added services business to a portfolio of the leading food retailers in the UK. Operating from multiple sites in the UK, each of their facilities run production lines to deliver their services to their customers all through the UK and Europe.

They are now looking for a

FMGC Project Engineering Manager

to work from their Wallingford site.

FMGC Project Engineering Manager Key Responsibilities:

Manage individual large-scale projects, whilst having the capability to simultaneously manage numerous smaller projects running in tandem. Manage Capital Projects following best practice and techniques from conception, design, procurement, installation, commissioning and final handover. Application of IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and procedures ensuring HSE/GMP requirements are met. Liaise with equipment end users and affected departments to gather design and function requirements of new layouts for equipment with respect to productivity, safety and ergonomics, for inclusion within the project plan brief and to produce considered and completed User Requirement Specifications. Liaise with machine suppliers, Assembly management and Planning departments on the design, installation and commissioning of new equipment. Supervise support during the successful implementation/introduction of any new equipment onto site, ensuring all Health and Safety & Technical requirements are adhered to during installation/commissioning works. Prepare Project Plans, including justification for major and minor capital projects for submission for Senior Management Stakeholder approval. Once approved, maintain a computerized schedule of works of all major engineering projects (e.g. MS Project). Prepare Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Insurance Documentation.

FMGC Project Engineering Manager Key Skills/Experience:

A proven track record of high level of achievement in a FMCG environment, demonstrating an active attitude to Health and Safety and Technical standards, supported by high level of Engineering knowledge. The ability to get 'buy in' from stakeholders by creating detailed, data-driven business cases. The ability to deliver and drive change through robust leadership, with the ability to communicate with all the different levels within the business. You will have a consistent and empowering style, supporting project teams to reach “high performing team” status through cross-functional working. Hands-on experience of managing large complex projects. Full understanding of the demands and accountability on ensuring that project management delivers the business improvements.
