Our site at Poole Bakery produces chilled savoury sausage rolls, hot pies, pasties and slices. The business has been producing products at its current site since 1937 and previously as Millers of Poole.

Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 17:00

Salary:

£35,690

Purpose:

To ensure the site is compliant with customer and legal requirements on food safety and quality; ensuring products and environment are safe with quality up to agreed customer standards.

Your Duties Will Include

Management of microbiological and chemistry testing schedule and trending for water, products, ingredients and environment to ensuring compliance with customers and legal requirements Lead the in-house HACCP team to ensure that the HACCP study for site is up to date and correct controls are in place Management of the quality taste panel and ensure that all products are panelled via the taste panel or taste as you go Lead investigation of any quality issue or complaint and product approval for customer and brand standard samples. Be the Quantitative Ingredient Declaration (QUID) expert for site and lead QUID investigation, corrective action and customers enquires. Manage technical quality equipment to ensure correct working condition Manage artwork, packaging verification and approval to ensure new artwork are compliant to customer and legal requirements Stock management of testing swabs and budget testing management. Support internal auditing on site by conducting audit with accordance to annual schedule and close out non-conformances Experience

2 years minimum of microbiological experiences and lab testing method A minimum of 5 years of experience in the food industry HACCP level 4 Food Safety level 3 (minimum) Food Information Regulations (FIR) knowledge Experience in management of testing schedule and artwork approval Budget forecast experience for testing Skills
