We are seeking a

Food Technical Manager

to join our dynamic team, reporting to the Head of Food Technical. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of a wide range of compliant products across our Company Shop superstores, Community Shops, and Satellite Shops. You'll be leading a small team based in our distribution centres, driving the development of the technical function, and fostering strong relationships across the business.

What You'll Do

Support the Head of Food Technical in maintaining compliance across our estate.

Act as the go-to expert for our Operations and Retail teams, offering advice and guidance.

Plan and conduct internal and third-party audits, ensuring adherence to our Quality Management System (QMS).

Manage site systems to maintain robust product controls and traceability.

Investigate customer complaints and internal noncompliance issues, driving corrective actions.

Be an active member of the HACCP team and support GFSI certification initiatives.

Lead third-party site visits and participate in key operational and safety meetings.

Coach and develop the technical team to achieve their personal development objectives.

Build and promote a culture of quality across the business.

Analyse technical KPIs and implement improvement plans.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

At least 3 years' relevant experience in a technical role, with a strong understanding of BRC Food standards and legal labelling.

Audit qualification and experience conducting investigations.

Exceptional interpersonal and coaching skills with a professional and collaborative approach.

Strong IT skills and excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication abilities.

A solution-focused mindset with the ability to plan, organise, and manage workloads effectively.

Adaptability to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

A passion for personal and professional development.
