Job Overview/Summary We are looking for someone with technical experience to drive food safety and quality compliance at Prep Kitchen. We are looking for a highly driven Food Safety professional to join our growing team as a Food Technologist. Working collaboratively with procurement, supply chain, culinary, and our suppliers, the role will involve driving best practice within our supply base, improvement in food safety & quality, and supporting a wide range of projects to ensure we delight our customers whilst maintaining the highest standards. Main Duties and Responsibilities Ensure all ingredients meet Prep Kitchen’s safety and quality standards. Onboard new suppliers and products, including conducting supplier visits and audits where required. Drive quality standards for all ingredients purchased, agree specifications with suppliers and monitor compliance. Ensure that technical information, including specifications, nutritional data, and allergens, are accurate and up-to-date on our internal systems. Investigate and manage quality issues, escalating/claiming for out of specification ingredients through thorough root cause analysis and corrective action. Monitor and report on supplier performance on a regular basis. Work collaboratively with the customer care team to investigate customer complaints with suppliers and assist in drafting responses. Review and maintain website and label information across all products from an allergen and ingredient standpoint. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. About You 2+ years experience of a technical role in the food industry. Additional food quality & safety qualifications highly desirable (e.g. HACCP, internal auditing). Experience of auditing food manufacturers (can also include internal auditing). Ability to identify and solve issues to optimise ways of working. Strong attention to detail. Able to effectively communicate technical information to colleagues and suppliers. Willingness to travel.
