This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to cultivate a passion for food and nutrition in young minds. Position Overview: The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering a comprehensive and engaging Food Technology curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role entails fostering a dynamic and hands-on learning environment that encourages practical skills development, creativity, and a sound understanding of food science and nutrition. Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver captivating Food Technology lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school's educational ethos. Create a stimulating classroom and kitchen environment that promotes student engagement and participation. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth. Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Technology department and across the school to enrich the learning experience. Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in Food Technology education. Qualifications and Experience: A Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Demonstrated experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level. Ideal Candidate Attributes: A passion for Food Technology and the ability to inspire students to explore the world of food and nutrition. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Adaptability and a willingness to embrace new teaching methodologies.
