Our Client are a family baking business based in Lanarkshire, Scotland. They are looking for a talented Foodservice Account Manager to join their passionate Sales team driving their brand forwards.
Job Description
The Foodservice Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships within a portfolio of key accounts in the UK Foodservice channel. Their key objective is to deliver profitable growth for the business across their account base in line with business strategy. This role will report into the Sales Director.
Key Responsibilities
Accountable for developing and maintaining strong long-term relationships with customers
Accountable for the generation of Joint Business Plans for each customer that drive growth at agreed levels of profitability for the brand
Responsible for implementing a promotional plan that is aligned with brand values, the customer’s promotional strategy and with internal capacity constraints
Responsible for conducting regular post promotional analysis to optimise promotional investment and enhance forecasting accuracy for future events
Responsible for using internal sales reports to track, measure and evaluate trends, providing commentary to the Sales Director and to the wider business on performance versus targets
Responsible for keeping abreast of industry and market trend and best practices, sharing learnings with the wider commercial team
Accountable for ensuring that all relevant customer and internal administration is accurate and submitted on time
Responsible for ensuring that customer availability is at agreed levels through regular contact with Supply Chain
Responsible for supporting the Finance team to resolve any pricing issues with the customer base
Accountable for budget planning within their account portfolio, preparing and presenting annually their individual account plans to the wider commercial team
Accountable for accurately forecasting customer demand in line with monthly sales and operations cycle and updating on in month outlook weekly
Qualifications & Experience Required
Experience of managing wholesaler accounts in the Foodservice channel
A clear understanding of the various routes to market and expected margins in the supply chain within the Foodservice and OOH channel
Experience of working in a branded environment
Experience in using data and insights to support sales proposals
Experience in developing sales within national end user accounts in the Foodservice & OOH Channel Desirable
Experience in snacking or treat categories
Experience in managing Amazon
