Forensic Mental Health Specialist

·
Full time
Although the recruiting Trust is North London NHS Foundation Trust, this post is based in Manchester and there is no expectation for the successful candidate to be travelling to Trust sites in London on a regular basis.

A unique opportunity to do something different and join the CCS North, based in the North of England.

An exciting job opportunity has arisen to join our newly commissioned Counter Terrorism Clinical Consultancy Service.

The CTCCS is a joint NHS and Police Mental Health Team which facilitates information sharing with local mental health services for individuals who have come to the attention of Counter Terrorism Policing and who are thought to either present a risk of serious harm or have safeguarding, welfare or treatment needs in the context of mental disorder.

The aim of the team is to work with counter-terrorism officers in assessing and managing the risks posed by individuals with severe mental illness through advice, consultation, and detailed formulations to aid understanding.

Please note this is a national service and therefore there will be an expectation of regular travel to other sites within the region, including overnight stays on occasion.

The role will require security clearance to SC - Please note that this is a formal requirement for the job and can take in excess of six months from the point of SC application submission.

For an informal discussion please contact Team Lead Sarah Sanderson – Sarah.Sanderson26@nhs.net
