£35-40k Are you a Mechanically biased maintenance engineer either already working as a service engineer on various types of plant and machinery or have a good mechanical background and the desire to work on such machinery? This company specializes in the maintenance and repairs to Forklift trucks and other plant and has a large customer base in the South-west. The company offers a competitive salary, 25 days holiday, overtime, and a van, as well as various training and development depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate. Excellent opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join an established growing company looking to expand in the marketplace. This is an ideal role for an engineer that wants to join a company where you will be constantly challenged in a busy environment where your skills will be utilized fully and appreciated. The ideal candidate will be either a time-served forklift engineer with good electrical and mechanical skills, or a candidate from other Mechanical trades with transferable skills. In this role, you will cover the South-west area carrying out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repair on a range of forklift trucks and Mechanical handling equipment. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Service and Repair of Forklift trucks to a high standard Make sure repair specifications are accurately adhered to Completion of repair tasks within time constraints Complete Service and Thorough Examination reports Ensure all Van parts and consumable stocks are maintained to agreed levels Fitting of parts and return of parts as required Inform service office of developments affecting scheduled work Ensure correct disposal of Waste oil, filters, rags, scrap, and batteries Ensure you leave the workshop in the condition that you found it Pass quote information for repairs to the service office Pass opportunities for additional work to the service office Source parts to effect repairs Additional Responsibilities

Assist other engineers when required, whether this is advice over the phone or with double-handed tasks. Workshop and surrounding area are kept tidy. Yard is kept tidy when disposing of waste materials. Perform other duties as required.
